We’re kicking the New Year off with three brand new interns! Each intern is equipped with unique qualities that will continue to help Market Colors grow. We’re so excited to have them on our team and we’re excited for you to meet them!
Sammy is a student at Valencia where she studies Graphic Design. She loves anything related to Africa, which is what sparked her interest in Market Colors. Sammy went to Uganda, Africa last summer for two weeks where she spent time at a children’s village. While in Uganda, she fell in love with the people and culture. Her favorite part was being around people whose rich faith and love for God could not even compare to any worldly riches. As Market Color’s social media intern, Sammy is excited to learn about how social media can be used to raise awareness about things so close to her heart. In her free time, Sammy loves taking pictures, journaling and boating. She plans to save her money and do lots of traveling in the upcoming year and hopes to go back to Uganda this summer.
Rebecca is about to graduate from the honors college at University of Central Florida, where she studied International and Global Studies, Business and French. Ever since spending a summer in India two years previously, Rebecca has been given a heart for the nations. She has a desire to help people in desperate need through a sustainable way while stateside, and found out about Market Colors. “I love that while I am eight thousand miles from Africa working in an office, my work here is bringing renewal to the lives of widows, refugees, and orphans.” Her long-term goals include working for a non-profit which meets the needs of and extends Christ’s love to those they are reaching, running a half marathon, going to Austin City Limits, and farming. Rebecca’s work for Market Colors includes day-to-day office tasks, marketing, and shipping. She loves being outside, photography, kale, Friday Night Lights, and being cozy.
Lindsey graduated from The Florida State University where she studied Sociology and Social Welfare. She has a deep desire to serve others and our Lord through her writing and through her actions. Lindsey has served in Burkina Faso as well as Sierra Leone with Children of the Nations. Her passion is serving at-risk youth and underprivileged children and teens. Lindsey first heard about Market Colors through a close friend and fell in love with the organization. Lindsey is very excited to be serving as our Blog intern, creating blogs, letting others in on what’s going on at Market Colors and collaborating with other bloggers to continue to improve our own blog. In her free time Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, writing and spending time at the beach.
