Market Colors Brunch

Lizzie Randazzo

One of the things I truly enjoy in life is coming together with friends and sharing a meal. There is something so special about cooking for people, perhaps sharing a well-loved family recipe or trying something new. And sitting around a table exchanging stories and laughs is the cherry on top.

Recently, the Market Colors team got together for such an event. With spring in the air and Easter around the corner, we wanted to have some time to relax and enjoy each other's company amid some delicious food.

Our lovely Sales Coordinator, Robyn, graciously opened her home to us (which is absolutely adorable, by the way) for brunch. While Robyn and our founder Lizzie prepped French Toast Sticks and bacon with brown sugar and pecans in the kitchen, the rest of us set up the table, complete with a fruit platter, Cherry Vanilla Muffins, Summer Broccoli Salad and Cheesy Strata. Now, in my days I've met some people who can cook, but let me tell you…these ladies can COOK! There was no way for any of us to pick our favorite. And did I mention Robyn made a delicious Watermelon Basil Agua Fresca?

Even more enjoyable than the scrumptious food was sitting around the table and chatting about life with these amazing women about everything from our favorite Easter family traditions, to whether we prefer a sweet or savory breakfast food, to Robyn's always entertaining stories about traveling by train.

After our brunch, my heart (and stomach) was full. Sharing a meal with people you care about truly is a blessing. With no agenda, no plan, just eating, talking and listening to what matters in people's lives. And in this Easter season, I’m again reminded of how much I am thankful for. It may seem like a small thing to some, but simply enjoying the people around you can often be the biggest gift you've been given.
